The advert I am creating for Tint Tastic Hair Colours is to advertise the company as a whole rather than a particular section, sale or product. Therefore my focus is on understanding the company as exactly that, a whole, taking out its most important, interesting and desirable aspects to include in the advert. Then I need to work out how, when and where to release the advert in order for it to reach the target audience.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The target market for the company is middle class women and men from the age of 18 – 50 meaning the advert too will need to target this audience. The content of the advert is, as explained above, is the most important, interesting and desirable aspects of the company, such as, loyalty point scheme and a large range of products for men and women. As Tint Tastic define themselves as being modern and innovative so the best format to communicate their message, I believed, had to be a digital video as digital is modern and innovative (The Digital Age).

Tint Tastic already has various social network pages set up which they use for promotions, updates and communication. These include, Facebook, Twitter and YouTube. These are all channels that will be used to distribute the advertisement. The advert will be uploaded to YouTube and then Twitter and Facebook (and other sources) will link directly to this, meaning that what ever website someone watched the advert on it will always stream from YouTube and therefore increase the view rate. The higher the views on a clip the more popular and easier it is to discover which is a great way to advertise for free.Facebook also now include their own advertising capability. It works by promoting a page (which Tint Tastic has it’s own). This promotion has it’s own unique way of reaching the desired audience which is manageable by the advertiser. You can select a target audience by country, age and gender and you can insert interests (keywords) that someone has to type in for the advert to appear. These all make it incredibly easy for the page and advert (video) to reach the target audience. The cost of this varies on the amount of people you want your advert to reach. The smallest amount starts at £3.00 a day and estimates to reach between 6-25 people, the largest amount it £12.00 a day and estimates to reach 25-101. A schedule can also be set so the advert can run continuously or a finish date for the advert can be set which will automatically deactivate the advert and the daily payments.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Tint Tastics attitude towards the advertisement is to have it released in spring. This is because sales tend to have a slight increase in the summer due to the weather being better suited to style and colour hair. By releasing the advert in the spring it allows time to reach the target audience before the summer reaches and gives the consumers time to prepare for the summer by purchasing products in advance, promotions could even be created for this very reason. With this in mind, the advert needs to have been launched by, or before, the deadline (28/04/14) of which I set at the beginning of the module.
