Along side the promotional advert the client, T.T.H.C, asked if I could create a leaflet as an extra paid job.

My first design was the image to the left. After completing this draft I took a printed copy to the following scheduled meeting. My client was very happy with the size, style and especially the layout at the bottom of the leaflet. However, he said that he felt like reading the bullet point text was causing eye strain due to the yellow background and the slogan's stroke amount was too high. With this feed back in mind and after gaining the Tel and Email details I went away to alter the leaflet.

The image bellow was my second design and I had fixed the issues that my client had asked to be altered.

I then emailed to new leaflet design to the client and he was more than happy with the alterations and was pleased overall. He said that no more changes were necessary and then ordered 5,000 copies to be printed on the day.

Leaflets

The Idea Development for the Second Leaflet.

The first thing I did after receiving feedback was lower the amount for the stroke on the slogan to a size that closer matched the clients logo/banner. After that I removed the yellow background completely so that the bullet point text was easier to read but after doing so I felt that the text still looked uncomfortable so I decided to rearrange it. The new arrangement idea was that the overall shape acted as a reveal to the name of the company at the top but also read easily downwards leading to the web address, just like following an arrow. After removing the yellow from the background, leaving just blue, I felt as though one thing did not stand out any more or less than the other and there needed to be some kind of separation. I experimented with many ideas from as simple as a yellow line to a, more complex, column made of products but none looked particularly pleasing to the eye. Eventually the idea to bring back the yellow gradient style came to me. This helped to separate all four sections of the leaflet perfectly, made the company name and address stand out more, making them more memorable upon the first glance and it reflected the company logo more specifically.
